Score one for free speech! Miss California to stay.

Posted by foundersfreedom on May 12, 2009

Just listened to the press conference in which The Donald defended Carrie Prejean’s answer to the set-up by Perez Hilton.  She will remain in her position of Miss California.  Free speech prevails.

It’s refreshing to hear someone speak from the heart, without malice and with dignity regardless of the “political correctness” that abounds in our “tolerant” society. Don’t often get that from the other side.

Tolerance has become a one way street where mainstream thought is stifled so as not to offend even the most offensive.   Perhaps this is the start of the reversal of that trend.   Hers was not an attack on a lifestyle she sees as deviant.  It was an answer to a question asking her opinion on a controversial, high profile issue.  Especially in a state where a solid majority continues to vote that said activity is not to become law.

We cannot all agree on all things or even most things, but we have to agree that a person has the right to an opinion and to state that opinion.  The personal attacks that the homosexual (special) rights / Hollywood crowd level at anyone anywhere that dares express an opinion contrary to theirs  is absolutely unacceptable and quite hypocritical.

If we don’t speak against what we believe to be wrong and don’t stand up for what is right, we will continue down the path of moral relativism (situational ethics)that has gotten us into the moral mess most of the world is in.

    “Free speech prevails.”

Would losing her beauty queen title in any way prevented her from voicing her views?

    Just curious.

What I find the MOST disconcerting, FF, is that she voiced an opinion that is probably held by 90% of the population. And STILL was persecuted to the extreme. The fringe gay lobby HAS to be taken on, eyeball to eyeball, and Miss California fired the first shot. I am so proud of her that I cannot even stand it.

The fringe, deviant lobbies and the main stream media are intertwined tightly. The power exerted by the deviants is bizarrely out of proportion to their numbers.

    Miss Prejean is our hero.
She had the courage to stand up and be counted in the face of withering fire from the degenerates. Yes, FF, I said degenerates, and I define that as those with deviant lifestyles who want to FORCE us to accept them as normal. They are not.
To each his own, but don’t they dare to tell me that their behavior is normal.

Live and let live. Just stay out of my face.

  3. Morsec0de, no, not her, as she knows who she is and what she will stand for or against. It’s the chilling affect, the personal destruction, and blatant intimidation that is dangerous to free people. The effort is being made to marginalize the mainstream, at least in public discourse. Most people will just walk away from confrontation and opportunistic activists will exploit it to achieve their personal agenda. See Prop 8. ff

  4. It was an awesome thing to hear her today, Rick. If only we would all do the same. The Old Normal needs to become the New Normal. It’s not about “marriage,” it’s about wanting public acceptance of a perverse lifestyle. The more they push, the more we should push back. You’re right, they can do whatever they want in their personal lives, just keep out of my face!

    From Notre Dame today:

Obama entered the arena to thunderous applause and a standing ovation from many in the crowd of 12,000. But as the president began his commencement address, at least three protesters interrupted it. One yelled, “Stop killing our children.”
The graduates responded by chanting “Yes we can”, the slogan that became synonymous with Obama’s presidential campaign.

FF, they don’t even know what they are cheering, do they?!
The cult of Obama is a formidable opponent, but one without an ounce of sense or reality.
It is nothing but blind stupidity, blind star worship.
I deal with this in my own family.
I just want to bang my head against the wall.

  6. I just read a little about it and it appears to have gone as expected – fawning and cultic worship as you said. Seems to me that this battle is God’s. The day will come when he will have to renounce the death cult of abortion or risk his eternal soul. Sounds like many in the Catholic church will have to do the same.

I don’t know what the outcome of this presidency will be, but it is evil to the core.
