Some wanted me to let it out….

Well, the time has come.  And I believe there will be something for everyone.  Even some egg on my own face.
Here goes.
To Obama supporters: Seriously? Open your God-given eyes. Stop blaming Bush for everything. Cut the racist crap. Obama, as an Alinskyite Marxist, is absolutely fine with the deteriorating economy and swelling dependency. That is the PLAN. Read something – anything – about the 60s radicals that he is in tune with. And lastly, Romney is more like the Obama you thought you were voting for than Obama actually was.  Enough said.

To Partisan Republicans: You are as much to blame as Obama is for our national predicament. You play political games while standing for nothing but the R. You are frauds and owe a debt of gratitude to the tea partiers that you even still have a party left. You deserve to land in the dustbin of history for your lack of principle. There’s still time for that to happen, so enjoy this brief surge while you can.

To the Tea Party: you have brought much energy to the political process. You have made some waves. You have ignited an incredible surge in learning of the Founders and the early documents of this amazing government system. If Obama is removed from office on November 6th, you will have been instrumental in doing so. However, the partisanship you have embraced leads me to predict that a Romney presidency is the end of your effectiveness. Too many of your heroes are really enemies of the Constitution. I can name names, but I really don’t want to type out all 200 or so of them. And SHAME ON ANYONE for telling people that a vote on principle is throwing a vote away.

To my newfound libertarian friends – Big L and Small L alike. You are so right on so many things.  Most tea partiers owe you an apology. They called you (and I) names and berated the candidates closest to the Founders, those who stand for individual liberty. They ridiculed us for our principled stances. The result?  They got the candidate they least wanted. Go figure. But there are things we can work on ourselves. Like our presentation. Make points with logic and reason, not with names and derision. We all started somewhere.  Ignore the partisans, and bring along the truth seekers.  Get people to question what they believe.  Don’t fall into the trap of telling people what to think.

Now, for the infuriating and embarassing part. Yes, I’m embarrased and so angry I can hardly contain it. Tomorrow I will be a hypocrite. I will cast a vote that I said I would never cast again – that of voting for the lesser of two evils. I will cast a vote for two candidates that are okay with a kill list, erasing the 4th and 6th amendments, continuing to raise the debt ceiling and enslaving future generations, continuing wars we have no business fighting and more. I will cast a vote for Mitt Romney.  The reasons are simple: 1. Barack Obama is not one of us.  His Marxist worldview is incompatible with personal freedom and capitalism, the engine of freedom and prosperity throughout the ages. 2. It is obvious to a blind man that the Republicans in Congress are so inept and worthless that they will not stand against ANY end-run around Congress. We don’t even get feigned indignation out of them anymore.  It has come to the place where I must empower those unworthy of the power to remove a threat to my children’s future because they won’t.  Sickening.

So, to my libertarian, constitutionalist friends, I ask for your forgiveness. But, things being what they are, I am looking out for my kids’ future today. Fear not though. I will join you in making life miserable for those who have brought us seemingly right back where we were 3 years ago. I will fight side by side as you expose the corruption of the two-party system.

To my Tea Party friends, you have made your bed and you must lie in it.  I will add that I despise this feeling that I have to lie in it too. Prove me wrong.

To my friends that don’t give a rip about any of this and think I’m a blowhard, self-absorbed know-it-all who’s making much ado about nothing, you may be right, but history has proven that those who stand for nothing will fall for anything.

Never Forget

September 11th, my generation’s day which will live in infamy.  Over 3,000 innocent people died as we watched in horror as two of the tallest buildings in the world crumbled down from the heavens into a smoldering heap.

Freedom was attacked that day. 

Where were you and what were you doing on that bright and beautiful September morning?  I was on my way to work, listening to talk radio as I always do. For some reason Craig Kopp was solo that morning without Jerry Thomas on 55KRC.  I heard him speak of a plane running into one of the towers of the World Trade Center! No one knew what kind of plane or how it happened.  That alone was newsworthy.  Minutes later you could hear the panic in Craig’s voice as he tried to maintain his composure as he announced that another plane had hit the second tower. This was deliberate!

Questions, anger and more questions filled my head.  Who would do something like that on purpose?  What kind of suicidal maniac would attempt to kill innocent people just going to work, just living their lives?  Word started trickling in about a fundamentalist sect of Islam – they called themselves al-Qaeda.  Still traveling on my way to work, Craig said (slightly paraphrased) “My God! One of the Twin Towers is GONE! IT”S JUST GONE!” The first tower had collapsed! Still gives me chills as I write this.

The other fell shortly after. Don’t remember in what sequence that happened along with the plane going down in the Pennsylvania field, but at that point dread and fear and uncertainty had set in. Will there be more? Who, when and what would be hit next? Schools, malls and any other venue that drew a lot of prople at any time?

Many of us sat glued to our TVs for hours, even days. We learned more about this al-Qaeda, Islam, a Saudi billionaire named bin Laden.  Over the next several months we returned to our lives, a testament to the heart of America. The last stand of freedom on Earth.  A finger stuck in the eye of an ideology that despises freedom and prosperity. Despises our way of life. 

On this day, take a few minutes to look for some footage and talk to your children and grandchildren.  Remind them that God created this place and will continue to bless us so long as we hold Him in rightful esteem and reverence. Satan himself is trying to destroy her. It is up to us to stand for her as she has always stood for us.  Hold no anger toward any man who lives in peace and allows you to live in peace.  However, do not deny the truth and what’s obvious.  There are many in Islam that continue to chip away at our beautiful and bountiful country.  To continue to turn a blind eye only invites another attack – this time probably much worse.

One last thought: Does Imam Rauf have a right to build a mosque near this sacred site? Yes, absolutely. Should we allow it to happen? I say no. Hell NO!  It is a sign from those in Islam who wish for America to be under an Islamic caliphate that they have movd into our sacred space and they will conquer us. The proposed name – Cordoba – refers back to the time a few hundred years ago when bloodthirsty Islamists moved as far west as Spain.  Yhere is no tolerance in Islam, and this mosque is evidence of that.

Would somebody please stand up!

I was listening to the radio today as Sean Hannity interviewed  Governor Jindal of Louisiana. Governor Jindal is touted to be a rising star in the Republican Party, even presidential material.  What I heard was a man, perhaps rightfully, blaming the current administration for contributing to the destruction of his coastal lands and the fishing areas that provide a living for thousands of residents of the state he governs.  The red tape and permits and approvals have been strangling efforts to stop the approaching mass. “We wanted to do this…”  “We proposed that….”  “Delays for this….”  “Had to have inspections for that.”

What I wanted to hear, and it was difficult for me to listen to the groveling, was that he was doing what was necessary for the people of the state he was elected to protect.  That is what a true statesman does. That is what one who understands states’ rights vs. the rule of the federal government. That is what someone who understands the Tenth amendment does.  Federal regulations, be damned. I heard nothing even approaching that.

Would the administration send troops to arrest or fine a man who was saving jobs, valuable fishing areas and untold tons of fish and shrimp? For today and years to come?  Someone who was actually accomplishing what we thought BP was supposed to be doing? I say they wouldn’t.  And if they did, what would come of it?  He would be the hero of the people of Louisiana and far beyond!

Though state sovereignty and states’ rights have been cast as racist or pro-slavery and an attempt to step back 150 years, it certainly isn’t. That is the progressive modus operandi – slander and lie.  It was fully intended to be the gatekeeper against a power-hungry federal system. The Tenth Amendment states, simply, that

“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

Those delegated powers were enumerated in Article 1 Section 8 of the US constitution. Again, stated simply:

The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;

To borrow money on the credit of the United States;

To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian Tribes;

To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization, and uniform Laws on the subject of Bankruptcies throughout the United States;

To coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of Weights and Measures;

To provide for the Punishment of counterfeiting the Securities and current Coin of the United States;

To establish Post Offices and Post Roads;

To promote the Progress of Science and useful Arts, by securing for limited Times to Authors and Inventors the exclusive Right to their respective Writings and Discoveries;

To constitute Tribunals inferior to the supreme Court;

To define and punish Piracies and Felonies committed on the high Seas, and Offenses against the Law of Nations;

To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water;

To raise and support Armies, but no Appropriation of Money to that Use shall be for a longer Term than two Years;

To provide and maintain a Navy;

To make Rules for the Government and Regulation of the land and naval Forces;

To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions;

To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining, the Militia, and for governing such Part of them as may be employed in the Service of the United States, reserving to the States respectively, the Appointment of the Officers, and the Authority of training the Militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress;

To exercise exclusive Legislation in all Cases whatsoever, over such District (not exceeding ten Miles square) as may, by Cession of particular States, and the acceptance of Congress, become the Seat of the Government of the United States, and to exercise like Authority over all Places purchased by the Consent of the Legislature of the State in which the Same shall be, for the Erection of Forts, Magazines, Arsenals, dock-Yards, and other needful Buildings; And

To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers, and all other Powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of the United States, or in any Department or Officer thereof.

Does anyone see a word about interfering with or even assisting with clean-up efforts on an oil spill or anything else?  Does this mean they can’t help in time of crisis? No, not if Congress appropriates the money.  But, is there anything that states the federal government can prevent a state, a once-sovereign entity, from tending to its own business and needs?  Absolutely not! 

I cannot believe where we are as a country.  I’m but a schlep that has finally awakended to the perils we face – from our own government!  If we can’t rely on a “rising star” to do what’s right and necessary, it’s time to find another star.  Or another Party.  All I see is weakness or maybe political opportunism.  This fall we’ll hear that this administration failed to respond and hampered efforts to clean up the mess.  We’ll hear how they stalled and stammered, which may be true, but that’s beside the point. We’ll hear how we must restore sanity to Washington by electing Republicans.

If they have no more clue about the sovereign rights of states than this, we will get nothing in return for giving them the reigns of power again.  They won’t reign in the agencies like the EPA that are wreaking havoc on clean-up efforts. They had their chance in the first 6 years of the Bush era. Nothing.   They punted.  No, we must move on.  There is not enough time to educate them in things they should already know.  We don’t have enough time to reform a party that doesn’t want to be reformed.

Erasing the Borders

It has become apparent that Washington is hell-bent to erase borders – state and national.  Why?  It gives them all the power. Pure and simple.

Let’s look just at the last few weeks.
1. Arizona.  Just looking to do the job the Feds can’t, or rather won’t, passes legislation that simply states that it’s illegal to be in Arizona illegally. 

Now, the President, through the very department that should be doing the deportations of the illegals, is going to sue Arizona. 

2. Louisiana: Gov. Bobby Jindal blew his chance to take a stand for his state when he didn’t do what he felt necessary to stop the oil from reaching his shores. The federal govt. said no.

What part of  “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people” does he, and apparently most in politics, not understand? Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution maeks it quite clear that the Feds have few and enumerated authorities. Anything else is UNCONSTITUTIONAL.

Art. 1 Sec. 8 says:

The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;

What have we become?  There will be long-term damage done to the Gulf coast, jobs and revenue will be lost for years, yet the governor wouldn’t step across that self-imposed line between the federal govt and the sovereign states that make up the federal union.

To understand more about state sovereignty, we must go back to the intent of the Constitution written by the Founding Fathers.

A friend and I have been having regular discussions on this subject and how best to present it in a form that makes sense to people that haven’t really been paying attention up until now. To be honest, I HAVE been paying attention for a couple decades, but paying attention to the never-ending D vs. R battles every two years, instead of the important stuff.  Stuff like Natural Rights being stolen, state sovereignty being erased, and the tenth  amendment being nullified by corrupt and power-hungry politicians.

Now we’re running to catch up. Time is short, especially with a President who has no love for capitalism, American tradition, or personal responsibility – all foundational for our way of life.  Over the next few weeks, we’ll be posting videos and articles that we all need to familiarize ourselves with if we have a prayer of retaining our Representative Republic.  It was for good reason that Ben Franklin said, when asked what type of government they had given us, “It’s a republic…if you can keep it.”

If we don’t learn our history and how we got where we are, we will not make it back.  Yes, we need to go back – a reversal of the progressive plan.

Surviving a Meltdown

I’m just beginning to do my homework here, and most info sites say much the same thing.  I have no prior knowledge of preparedness anything – this is America. Work hard, be smart and you’ll prosper, right? 

Well, we didn’t know there were forces that were hard at work to destroy this miracle of America, did we?  So, now that we know, and a fall may be closer than we ever imagined, we find ourselves looking back to our childhoods and beyond to learn how our parents and grandparents lived. Our food supply system has been very good for a long time.  What if the fuel supply system goes down?  What if the electric supply system goes down?  What if civil unrest prevents deliveries or makes a trip to the store too dangerous for a few days or a week?  Can’t happen here, can it?

As the father of 4 kids aged 5-15, and the husband of a stay-at-home wife, I can’t think of a worse feeling than wondering how to feed or protect my family. Hence, my desire to get ahead of this stuff.  If collapse or hard times don’t happen (I believe many are already there), we’ll still be better off for it.

Epiphany!…sort of…

A year ago I decided to get as heavily involved in the “tea party” movement as I could get. The experience has been amazing. I’ve met great and passionate Americans, many which I now call friends.

I’ve gotten to the inner circle of major local events and been more than happy to devote a couple nights a week and many extra hours of email, calls and reading to further the cause. But these last few months have not brought me the fulfillment I thought I’d get from doing what I thought was all that I possibly could (while trying to balance job and family).

It’s true enough that we’ve had some unbelievable events that have shaken my confidence that we will ever get our country back, but I’m thinking about why, with all the passion and commitment I’ve seen from my new friends, do I still feel we’ve lost?  Americans have never been so engaged in the process and show no signs of letting up. Polls show tea party positions and candidates in a very positive light all across the country.

Though I don’t typically skip church on Sunday to work, this past Sunday I had some things that needed to get done so I did just that. Driving along listening to the radio preacher talking about the Great Commission stirred in me the cause of my current malaise. As popular and as positive as the tea party message is – and crucial to our way of life – I’ve had no desire to go to any of the many local meetings. Not even to participate in the big event of the season – the Sean Hannity Tax Day Tea Party right here in Cincinnati. This is was what I thought I was working for.

A little background is in order. As a Glenn Beck fan, I consider myself more of a 9/12er than a tea partier. Glenn knows that without God as the foundation we will not get back the stated goals of the Tea Party – Free Markets, Limited Government and Fiscal Responsibility (Cincinnati version). I’ve felt that all along. Plus, the fact they’re getting very involved in the political process, I just wasn’t “feeling” it. I have no more desire to work in the Republican Party – even if to reform it – than I have to parachute from a plane.

I’ve been doing some soul-searching to determine if I was just jealous that I hadn’t really accomplished what I have been working toward as the outreach guy for the Cincy 9/12 Project when the tea parties seem to get all the press. I’ve always been a bit of a contrarian doing what was least popular, so it really wasn’t that.  Feeling like I’m right in believing there is no political solution for our woes and that we’re just beginning to see how bad things can get, I wanted to feel the excitement and enthusiasm that so many around me do about the coming elections. But I can’t.

Back to the preacher. I was thinking again about the three tenets of the Tea Party and how it fails to address where those values originate. They are,  generally speaking, about money or the ability to pursue it.  There is no spiritual component.  Our inalienable rights emanate from natural law which comes from a Creator God. How can we possibly be successful if we don’t put Him back in His rightful place?  We can’t and we won’t. Therein lies the problem. Don’t get me wrong, God is not off limits in the tea parties, they just don’t make Him a plank.

Now I’m thinking, “what would my three planks be if I were to come up with my own?”  I came up with God, Me and Others. Strange enough I know, but within seconds “Me” became my hopes for myself, my children and future grandchildren and “Others” became the duty to help others to accomplish things for their families.  Again, in a moment, Faith, Hope, and Charity evolved into my mantra – just as it has for Glenn Beck.  Great (or insane) minds think alike.

This epiphany, so to speak,  has given me a new outlook and a desire to really pursue the spiritual aspect of America. Without it we are destined to fail.  We must give God His due. America is like no other in the history of Man and it is fully because of divine providence.  Freedom can only come from God. It has become quite clear over the centuries that, left to mere men, governments will enslave – even as evidenced  in what is happening here in America today. If God be for us, who could be against us? There’s liberating power in that. Just what I needed. Now, back to the fight.

Hollow Shell of Our Fathers

As I sat awake at 2 AM checking the result of the Senate cloture vote on their version of health insurance “reform” (though I’m not sure anyone has actually seen it), I have to think back to my previous post, ‘Line in the Sand.’

It appears the best health care system will be solidly on that slippery slope toward government take-over and its impending mis-management and rationing as it occurs everywhere it exists. No one but those who now have to own this vote believe this will improve care, save money, prohibit paying for the killing of babies, and not cover illegals.  Some polls show well over 50% don’t trust Congress to make ANY changes and a CNN poll showed over 60% didn’t want this as proposed. I’m convinced that most of them know it’s a lie and the endgame is very much different than stated.

But that’s not all.  Despite the coolest summer in our history, thousands of emails exposing the attempts to exclude data that didn’t fit the agenda, thousands of scientists questioning that human activity is causing the earth to warm,  and amidst massive snowstorms in several parts of the globe, a world summit took place that was hell-bent on doing something about this supposed warming. 

Colored by rants from the likes of Hugo Chavez against the evils of capitalism, cheered enthusiastically by the way, there was mostly haggling over how certain “poor” countries could legally steal money from the Americans and Europeans under a global agreement.  Even though no agreement was crafted, our own Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, proposed giving $100 BILLION per year to the cause. Surely this was under the authorization of the White House.  Better keep those Treasury printing presses on.

Now comes the one that may break the camel’s back.

A member of the House of Representatives again raised the desire to grant a “pathway to citizenship,” a pretty name for amnesty, despite multiple millions of real Americans being out of work and no end to the unemployment line in sight.  He actually said it could help us to do that.   But that is not the real evil that is lurking behind immigration “reform.”

The evil is not the loss of more jobs or the cost of covering their medical expenses.  We’re already experiencing that and have been for many years.  The evil will lie in loss of representation.

Imagine that ten to twenty million (or more – who knows?) illegals, by the waving of the Democrats’ magic wand, are deemed to be citizens of the United States. Yes, people who don’t know or care about our culture or identity, don’t speak our language and soon to receive “free” health coverage, welfare and social security benefits will have a huge say in who will represent us in Congress and especially the White House.  All by sneaking over our wide-open borders.  Which party do you suppose a vast majority will vote for? One that encourages personal responsibilty (or used to) or the one that will give them everything they’ve lacked in their home country, plus some?  The likes of the last two nail-biter elections will never be seen again.  My vote will become worthless. We will never be able to overcome that vote deficit. And all by the stroke of a pen.  Representatives won’t listen to us any more on amnesty than they have on the health care debate. Why should they? There will be a Senator prostitute him/herself once in a while for extra goodies, but they have all the votes needed to pass anything they want.  A proud, smiling, and willing World Citizen is in the White House to sign every piece of insidious legislation.

Amnesty will encourage even more immigration from all over the world, further multiplying its effect.  It means we will never be able to elect a conservative President ever again.  To anyone who thinks that sounds ridiculous, I’m open to hearing how you think that can occur, let alone how you think that it will occur. I argue that it cannot. Benjamin Franklin said,” When the people figure out they can vote themselves money, it heralds the end of the Republic.”  It appears we have reached that tipping point. I pray that I’m wrong and that it’s been just the coincidence of several unfortunate events.

And I finally arrive at the premise of the title.  Are we no longer Americans?  Have we become the hollow shell of the Founding Fathers? Are we like the once-proud British who have given up the fight? Succumbing to One World socialist EU rule and Islamic immigration jihad, the nation that one hundred years ago ruled nearly half the planet is on the verge of losing it’s identity forever. 

America is under assault by those same forces, and to be perfectly honest, I thought the UK was a full 10 years ahead of us.  But the events of 2009 indicate we are much closer than we could have ever imagined.  The world (with the help of the likes of George Soros) has us in their sights and are pulling out all the stops to take us down financially, and as the last bastion of freedom and self-determination.   A New World Order cannot allow our belligerence to stand.  We must submit for the world to be an equitable place for all (meaning subsistence for all but the ruling elites).

We have run out of sand.  The line, if it’s to be drawn again, will have to be somewhat final.  The domestic enemy is one step away from controlling our very essence and our lives through both health “reform” and environmental legislation.  We will be forced to weigh the right amount, eat the right food, exercise the right amount, drive the right vehicles, set our thermostats at the right temperature and on ad infinitum or we will be punished.

Does that sound like America?  Is our patriotism all just bluster?   There are millions of dead and wounded that fought for freedom on foreign lands.  We are about to spit in their faces.  Can we look our soldiers in the eye and say we support them when we won’t even step up to the plate with our cowardly representatives? 

Many very wise people are saying that our economy could go south again. How bad does it have to get before things turn ugly?  For those that are dependent on government for their every need, it may not take much once the checks shrink or disappear.  I’ve spoken with several veterans lately and they tell me explicitly that they see what a powder keg we’re living in. I don’t fear our military, current or former. I also don’t fear LOCAL law enforcement.  They are our neighbors and friends.  They want the same things we want: freedom and opportunity for themselves and, more importantly, for their children and grandchildren. Please take time to talk to them.   They also tell me they took an oath to protect and defend the Constitution and all have said they did not recant.  We should stand shoulder to shoulder for our Constitution and our way of life.  We owe them much, much more.

The Line in the Sand

Those who know me know that I’m not a dramatic type, but a happy, fun-loving person. However, this is weighing heavily on my heart and has been for weeks. Where is my line in the sand, and what does it mean for me if / when this government crosses it?  We worked hard all summer to avoid reaching this point, but yet we find ourselves and our country on the edge of a cliff.

As Veterans Day loomed near and assaults on our freedoms come from all angles, I had to ask myself what MY sacrifice will be.  Millions of brave men and women have VOLUNTEERED to put themselves between us and those who wish us harm, KNOWING they may have to pay the ultimate sacrifice. Many hundreds of thousands have paid that price.

Will we allow the enemies of freedom, indeed our own elected officials who claim to represent us, to make their sacrifices be for naught? Reagan said,”Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.”

Will it end with our generation?

Those who are shoving us off this cliff have a dismal record of governance and bottom-dwelling approval ratings. They are ideologues and don’t care what we want. They have a long record of corruption, dislike for American greatness, and contempt for our faith in our God.  We’ve gone about our business as good, productive people and parents while, with our own money, they’ve built the machine to destroy us.  They WILL do it if we let them.

This summer we truly learned we are not alone. My fear is that we doubt the commitment of our fellow citizens.  If we believe that we are the substantial majority, we’ll stand against tyranny en masse and emerge victorious. If not, we’ll cower into the shadows subjected to a life of servitude to the State. 

Let it be known this day that I dedicate myself to be able to truthfully tell my children that I did all I could. The great Reagan also said, “Let us be sure that those who come after will say of us in our time, that in our time we did everything that could be done. We finished the race; we kept them free; we kept the faith.”

I understand the hesitancy to address such a heady subject. This shouldn’t be happening in America, the most blessed, most benevolent and most free nation ever to exist.  How can we stand before our God, who gave us these freedoms and used His great land to bless the world over, without hanging our heads in shame?  I don’t know the answers, but I’m searching for them.  I do know we need to get on our knees or we will be forced onto our knees.

Where is your line in the sand? What is your sacrifice? One day these questions will be answered, through thoughtful consideration or by default through defeat and submission, but they will be answered.

Wisdom from the ages, for the ages

The more I study the wisdom of those that have gone before us, the more angry it makes me that we who are in line to take the reins of this great country from the generation before are ill-prepared and quite inept to carry the torch of freedom. All of our technological advances and opportunities in leisure have led us to a place of ignorance; ignorance of what has been sacrificed, of what we have been given, and what is required to maintain those freedoms.

Much of the blame can be put on an education system that is promoting an agenda far removed from the original intent of education.  We are teaching our kids to be good, compliant citizens rather than good thinkers. In that, we’ve created a bunch of followers, willing to toe the government line.

We must, however, share some of the blame. The desire for financial gain, as well as the insatiable appetite of government taking the fruits of our labors, have taken mothers out of the home and placed them in the workplace. Both parents are working long days, shuttling kids to activities thus leaving the nuclear family in tatters.  Mayberry, this ain’t. 

This has been by design by those who think it unfair that we enjoy so much while many millions around the world live in squalor or somewhere in between.  They are an elitist class that suffers little themselves and will never live under the systems they design for everyone else.  Though the endeavor seems noble, it is quite sinister. It is theft on one end and a destroyer of the innate need to produce for ourselves and our families at the other.  The rich, not those who live off trust funds but rather that which they’ve produced and created, become poor and the poor remain poor.  Only those in power remain unaffected.

It’s time for those of us who have always pulled the weight to demand our rights and freedoms once more.  If we go much farther down this road I fear it will be irreversible but by violent revolution.  It does not have to be that way.  What will you do? What is it worth to you? What will the America in which your kids and grandkids live look like?

We have the right to demand real change.  We have the God of Heaven on our side, as He created it and allowed us to experience freedoms and prosperity unheard of in human history when it comes to the general population.  We have experienced freedom and now are getting a taste of what it’s like to have them taken from us. Our selfishness, in this case a good kind of selfishness, should be a great motivator.  We hold the keys to our future right now.   

 As advanced and intelligent as we consider ourselves to be, most of us wouldn’t have been deemed  worthy to sit among men such as those  quoted below, let alone be counted as one of them.  But the beauty of America is that the groundwork has been laid.  All we have to do is learn and apply theses principles.  Please read them, take them to heart, and join us in this battle.
